Job summary

Atterro in Riverside, CA is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to the design, prototyping, and testing of fluid system components. You will create 3D models and 2D drawings in SolidWorks, applying GD&T and tolerance analysis to ensure robust parts and assemblies.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and at least 2 years of design experience in fluid systems or pumps, plus strong knowledge of fluid mechanics, machine design, and stress analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Support manufacturing and shop-floor operations to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues.
  • Maintain BOMs, part numbers, and engineering documentation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, quality, and production teams.
  • Provide technical support, product selection, and application guidance.
  • Assist with certifications and regulatory compliance (UL, CSA, CE, ATEX).
  • Drive continuous improvement for manufacturability, reliability, and cost.
