Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our on-site team in Windsor, CA. The ideal candidate has 1+ year of hands-on mechanical design experience and will work on designing and improving mechanical systems for commercial applications.

Responsibilities include CAD-based design, 3D modeling with GD&T, cross-functional collaboration, tolerance analysis, and supporting prototyping and design reviews. SolidWorks expertise preferred and PLM familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of mechanical design experience.
• Experience with SolidWorks or related CAD.
• Introductory knowledge in machining, sheet metal, or light automation.
• Familiarity with PLM systems and engineering change processes.

Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

Compensation: $80K - $120K (DOE)

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer with a minimum of 1 year of hands‑on experience in mechanical design. This is a full‑time, on‑site opportunity to join a dynamic team focused on designing and improving mechanical systems and components for commercial applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)


• Create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings with accurate GD&T


• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including manufacturing, R&D, and quality to ensure design feasibility and performance


• Conduct tolerance analysis and support design validation through prototyping and testing


• Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field


• Minimum of 1 year of experience in mechanical design, preferably in a manufacturing or product development environment


• Experience w/SolidWorks or related CAD program


• Introductory knowledge in machining, sheet metal, or light automation


• Familiarity with PLM systems and engineering change processes


• Proficiency in CAD tools and familiarity with FEA software


• Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and DFM/DFA principles


• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
