Job summary

Synerfac Technical Staffing is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Philadelphia, PA. You will design HVAC and mechanical building systems for new construction and renovations, collaborating with architects and project teams from concept through construction.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Mechanical/Architectural Engineering, hands-on knowledge of HVAC and building infrastructure, and proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical building infrastructure.
• Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prepare technical documentation and construction drawings.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop HVAC and mechanical building systems for new construction and renovation projects.
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents that comply with client requirements, industry standards, and applicable codes.
• Perform system evaluations, load calculations, energy analysis, and cost comparisons to support design decisions.
• Assist with building energy modeling and system performance simulations.
• Support construction administration activities, including reviewing installations and verifying compliance with design intent.
• Conduct field surveys, site investigations, and prepare site visit reports.
• Develop project specifications and Statements of Special Inspections for assigned projects.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project teams throughout all phases of design and construction.
