Job Summary:

International manufacturer of packing and palletizing solutions is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer in the Chicago, NJ, or PA area. Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 1-3 years of experience in the industrial automation sector. Experience with Mechanical Design software (Inventor, AutoCAD, Vault) is required. Knowledge of ERP software such as SAP is advantageous.

Fluent Spanish speakers are highly encouraged to apply. This remote position may require travel within the US, Canada, and to Spain, with travel expenses paid by the company. There is an opportunity for training at the company headquarters in Spain. The role offers an excellent compensation package, including overtime, 20 days of PTO, 5 personal days, and flexible medical provider options.

Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop packaging and palletizing solutions, creating mechanical layouts per project specifications.
2. Generate manufacturing and assembly layouts using 2D and 3D CAD software.
3. Develop and monitor prototypes.
4. Debug designs and continuously improve mechanical solutions.
5. Supervise project installations at customer facilities and headquarters.
6. Support remote project uploads, ongoing project follow-up, and local service tasks.
