Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for Proto-type Equipment on a contract basis in Louisville, KY. The role focuses on developing mechanical designs, 3D modeling in Creo Parametric, and designing sheet metal and injection-molded parts with manufacturability in mind.

Ideal candidates have BS in engineering with 2–5 years of experience, strong project management skills, and the ability to communicate CAD revisions clearly. Rate ranges from $40–$50/hour, negotiable by experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical designs for Proto-type Equip.
• Create and modify 3D models in Creo Parametric.

• Design sheet metal and injection molded parts with manufacturability in mind.
• Support project scheduling and coordination of tasks.

Job description

Akkodis is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer | Proto-type Equip for a Contract job with a client in Louisville KY.

Rate Range: $40/hour to $50/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Educational Requirements:

BS in engineering. Mechanical Engineer is preferred. Other engineering disciplines will be considered.

Years of Experience required:

2 to 5 years

• Ability to understand and communicate details of projects

• Understanding of statistical principles for decision making
• Ability to communicate CAD revisions to CAD personnel
• Working/some understanding of 3D modeling
