Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical parts and assemblies in 3D; produce 2D drawings and BOMs.

• Assist new product development, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing builds.

Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per annum + bonus

Our client, a well-established manufacturer of engineered industrial equipment, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Clearwater, FL. This role will support the design, development, production, and continuous improvement of mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment used across a range of industrial applications.

The position will work closely with Sales, Applications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Service to develop practical, manufacturable solutions that meet customer requirements. The role will also provide opportunities to contribute to new product development and improvements to existing equipment.

The Mechanical Design Engineering role will involve:

• Designing mechanical parts and assemblies in 3D, producing 2D drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation for production
• Supporting existing equipment through design modifications, engineering changes, replacement parts, and technical support
• Working cross-functionally to improve product performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost
• Supporting new product development, prototyping, testing, manufacturing builds, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Providing technical support to Sales, Applications, Manufacturing, and Service teams as required

The Mechanical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 3–6+ years of experience within mechanical, applications, manufacturing, or product engineering environments
• Experience designing and developing manufactured equipment or industrial machinery
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Inventor, or Pro/E, along with 2D drawing experience
• Understanding of GD&T, DFM/DFA, tolerancing, materials, and practical manufacturing principles
• Experience with sheet metal, welded components, or electro-mechanical equipment is beneficial
• Strong ability to balance customer requirements with technical feasibility and manufacturability
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects and priorities
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across engineering, manufacturing, sales, procurement, and service teams
• Experience with fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, PDM/ERP systems is beneficial
