We are seeking multiple talented individuals of all levels to join a cutting-edge team in California, contributing to the development of revolutionary eVTOL (electric Vertical Take-off and Landing) aircrafts.

The Opportunity: As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be a pivotal contributor to the design, analysis, and development of critical mechanical systems for advanced eVTOL platforms. You will work on challenging and diverse projects, from concept generation through to manufacturing and testing, playing a key role in shaping the future of urban air mobility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for eVTOL aircraft, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Perform detailed mechanical tolerance stack-up analysis to ensure proper fit and function of complex assemblies.
• Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles to engineering drawings for clear and precise manufacturing specifications.
• Utilize CAD software (primarily NX) to create 3D models, assemblies, and detailed 2D drawings.
• Conduct analysis and simulations using MATLAB for performance prediction and design optimization.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including aerodynamics, electrical engineering, manufacturing, and test to integrate mechanical designs seamlessly.
• Participate in design reviews, providing technical expertise and constructive feedback.
• Support the manufacturing and assembly processes, troubleshooting any design-related issues.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and methodologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering design.
• Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience with: NX or other industry-leading CAD packages (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, Inventor), Mechanical tolerance stack-up analysis, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), MATLAB for analysis and simulation, Proven experience working on complex mechanical systems.

Preferred Experience:

• Prior experience within the Aviation & Aerospace industry is highly preferred.
• Direct experience working on eVTOL aircraft is a significant advantage.
