Join Our Team: We are currently seeking a Millwright / Industrial Mechanic at our Selkirk, MB location.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this role focuses on inspecting, repairing, replacing, installing, adjusting, and maintaining mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.

Hourly Rate: $42.98/hour plus COLA (Cost of Living Allowance). Overtime is available.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receive instructions for scheduled and emergency repairs, installation, and inspections.
• Inspect equipment for defects such as misalignment, wear, and insufficient lubrication.
• Determine the best repair methods to minimize production interruptions.
• Advise when immediate shutdown is necessary to prevent damage or when continued operation is safe.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems and equipment.
• Assemble or align gears, bearings, and shafts, applying press, sliding, and running fits.
• Change, set up, and adjust equipment based on current operating conditions.
• Interpret drawings and sketches.
• Dismantle, clean, repair, replace, install, maintain, assemble, and lubricate mechanical equipment.
• Perform routine layout work, fabricate or repair steel structures and components.
• Select suitable materials, perform burning and mild steel welding.
• Operate basic machine tools such as drill presses, pipe threading machines, and power saws.
• Erect scaffolds and perform rigging as needed.
• Prepare work orders and record activities in CMMS.

Our Successful Candidate will have:

• ARed Seal Certification or Provincial Millwright Journeyman Certificate
• Experience in heavy industry
• Exposure to PM, hydraulics, VF drives, PLCs, welding, crane work
• Experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work a rotating schedule (continental style), including 12-hour shifts and 8-hour day shifts (Monday - Friday)
• Strong communication skills and work ethic; ability to work in a team and with other trades
• Basic computer skills
