Job summary

COMPA Industries, Inc. in Los Alamos, NM is seeking an Engineering Technologist 3 (Mechanical Design Checker) for a 2-year on-site assignment.

You will check Creo models/drawings for form, fit, and function, apply MBD and GD&T, and perform tolerance analyses to deliver producible designs. The role supports the W93/Mk7 Systems Development and Realization group and requires a Bachelor's degree with 8 years of related experience, DOE Q clearance (active preferred), and strong CAD/PLM expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Science, Math, or related field.
• 8+ years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination.
• Active DOE security clearance (Q) or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Check Creo models and drawings for form, fit, and function and for MBD compliance.
• Conduct tolerance and stack-up analyses to ensure producible designs.
• Ensure product definitions meet requirements and design intent.
• Mentor teams through design iterations to resolve defects.
• Lead reviews for design, manufacture, assembly and test.
• Develop and interpret 3D CAD standards and procedures.
