Job summary

EVONA in Texas seeks an experienced Drawing & CAD Design Checker – GD&T Specialist to review engineering drawings and 3D CAD models for complex mechanical products.

You will verify ASME Y14.5 GD&T, assess tolerance stack-ups, and ensure manufacturability with CNC processes and composites while collaborating with design, manufacturing, and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field (or equivalent).
• 5+ years in mechanical design checking, CAD detailing, or senior drafting in regulated environments.
• Expert knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T (GDTP certification a plus).
• Proficiency with CATIA V5/V6, Creo, or Siemens NX; MBD/PMI experience preferred.
• Experience with tolerance stack-ups and PLM/PDM systems such as Windchill or Teamcenter.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings and 3D models for accuracy and ASME Y14.5 GD&T compliance.
• Verify GD&T application and perform tolerance analyses.
• Ensure designs are manufacturable with CNC, composites, and finishing processes.
• Produce redline markups and resolve drawing discrepancies.

• Produce redline markups and support the resolution of drawing discrepancies.
• Participate in design reviews and maintain engineering drawing standards.
