Job summary

E Ink Corporation seeks a Mechanical & Controls Engineer to design, build, test, and implement modifications to pilot-scale roll-to-roll coating equipment. This role blends mechanical engineering with automation and process integration.

You will work with senior engineers and researchers on system upgrades, troubleshoot, and document changes to improve coating uniformity, reliability, and production efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or related field.
• 3 years of engineering experience in manufacturing, automation or process equipment.
• Internship/co-op or research experience with automation or roll-to-roll systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support design, fabrication, installation, and commissioning of coating equipment modifications.
• Develop mechanical designs and solutions for coating system upgrades.
• Assist with automation and controls upgrades for coating equipment.
• Collaborate with process engineers to improve coating quality and production efficiency.
• Prepare engineering documentation and modification records; help with test reports.
