Job summary

General Formulations is seeking a hands-on Process Engineer to join our Engineering team in Michigan. You'll work directly with roll-to-roll coating, printing, laminating, and converting operations, partnering with experienced engineers on process optimization and equipment reliability.

You will analyze process data, perform testing and validation, troubleshoot issues, and develop documentation and SOPs. Collaboration with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and R&D teams will drive continuous

Qualifications

• Experience in roll-to-roll manufacturing or similar continuous web-processing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data analysis.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and with teams in fast-paced settings.

Responsibilities

• Support and improve roll-to-roll coating, printing, laminating, and converting processes.
• Analyze production data to identify optimization opportunities.
• Test, experiment, and validate manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions.
• Create process documentation, SOPs, and technical reports.
• Produce engineering drawings and process flow diagrams.
• Maintain preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systems.
• Assist with capital projects and equipment installations.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, R&D, and Technical teams.
• Assist with process audits and startup activities for new equipment.
