Job Summary

Mechanical Superintendents are needed for large construction projects across the country! A leading engineering and construction firm specializing in large facility projects is seeking skilled Mechanical Superintendents. Candidates must have at least 7 years of professional experience. Per diem, travel time home, mobilization, and demobilization allowances are available for qualified candidates.

• Location: Kansas City, Missouri
• Job Type: Contract
• Salary: $60 - $68 per hour
• Work Hours: 8 am to 4 pm
• Education: High School diploma required

Responsibilities

• Supervise construction efforts including safety, productivity, materials and equipment management, scheduling, engineering, and contractual performance.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with contractual obligations related to mechanical construction.
• Build effective relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate on project procedures, working documents, and standards with project management.
• Manage purchase requisitions, design change requests, under supervision.
• Oversee safety, review safety documentation, and conduct regular audits.
• Document progress with daily reports and photos.
• Assess upcoming work activities and coordinate with subcontractors using the 3-week look ahead report.
• Develop and maintain as-built drawings and respond to RFIs.
• Manage subcontractor work to meet schedule and verify progress.
• Verify material deliveries and proper storage, coordinate maintenance and temporary heating.
• Coordinate welders' qualifications and oversee equipment setting and alignment.
• Conduct system walk-downs and testing, develop punch lists, and ensure drawings are current.
• Handle project scope changes and oversee staffing and material management.

Essential Functions

• Work up to 10 hours of overtime per week.

• Minimum 7 years of experience in mechanical construction.
