Job summary

Ahern is seeking a Mechanical Construction Sales PM in Madison, WI to lead customer engagements in HVAC and Plumbing projects, build and grow key relationships, and drive sales and budgeting efforts.

You will collaborate with design and estimating specialists to prepare disciplined estimates, manage fast‑paced bids, and influence the financial performance of southeast Wisconsin HVAC and Plumbing work. This is a family‑owned company with long‑term stability.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of codes and a basic understanding of design.
• Ability to put together a disciplined estimate.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a customer base focused on HVAC and Plumbing construction projects.
• Meet with customers to establish/maintain relationships, generate sales and estimate/budget projects.
• Collaborate with design and estimating teams to support high‑value bids and projects.
• Influence the financial performance of southeastern Wisconsin HVAC and Plumbing work.

How you will contribute:

Leverage your persuasion and relationship management skills by managing and growing a customer base focused on HVAC and Plumbing construction projects. You will spend your time meeting with customers establishing/maintaining relationships, generating sales and estimating/budgeting projects. Ahern offers the support of subject matter experts in the area of design and estimating for more challenging projects as needed. You will have the ability to influence the financial performance of southeastern Wisconsin HVAC and Plumbing work while assuming an active role to generate work in conjunction with Ahern’s field talent.

What you need to qualify:

Ahern will make the most out of your years of experience with HVAC and Plumbing-related projects. More experience will be fully utilized. A post‑secondary degree in a related field or equivalent field experience is preferred. You will need knowledge of codes, a basic understanding of design and a strong understanding of how to put together a disciplined estimate. Must have excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills; the ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
