Job summary

Airco MEP is seeking a Project Engineer – Mechanical Construction to support Project Managers on active commercial mechanical projects. This early-career role targets detail-oriented, coachable individuals who want to grow into Project Manager or Estimator roles over time.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of relevant experience or a four-year degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field with internship or field exposure.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience supporting construction projects, preferably in mechanical construction, HVAC, plumbing, piping, or commercial construction.
• Or a relevant four-year degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar field with internship, co-op, field, or project experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage and track submittals, product data, RFIs, closeout documents, and project logs.
• Assist with takeoffs, quantities, job costing, and estimating support as needed.
• Support purchasing, including material ordering, lead times, delivery coordination, and vendor follow-up.
• Help build and maintain project documentation, files, turnover packages, and closeout materials.
• Support job planning and scheduling; Microsoft Project exposure is a plus.
