Job summary

Facade Today is seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to oversee field activities on major ground-up projects. You will coordinate HVAC, piping, and related systems, manage subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

This is a long-term, onsite opportunity with potential travel for qualified projects. Ideal candidates bring 8+ years of mechanical construction leadership, strong drawing/spec interpretation, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressive mechanical construction experience in leadership roles.
  • Experience with large-scale ground-up construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping, utilities, and equipment installation.
  • Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
  • Onsite work for the duration of the project; traveling is encouraged.

Responsibilities

  • Provide field oversight and construction management for mechanical scopes throughout the project.
  • Coordinate mechanical construction activities with contractors, subcontractors, engineering teams, and other project disciplines.
  • Monitor field activities to ensure work is completed safely and per drawings, specs, and schedule.
  • Support planning, sequencing, and coordination of mechanical work during ground-up construction.
  • Review progress and identify risks, conflicts, or schedule impacts needing resolution.
  • Participate in field walks, meetings, and progress reviews.
  • Work with stakeholders to resolve field issues and maintain alignment across MEP scopes.
  • Monitor contractor performance to support milestone execution.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and upcoming activities clearly.

Role Overview

This role will oversee mechanical construction activities and work closely with contractors, project teams, and key stakeholders to support the successful execution of upcoming project phases. This is a long-term, onsite opportunity. Traveling candidates are encouraged to apply, and monthly per diem is provided for qualified travelers.

  • Provide field oversight and construction management for mechanical scopes throughout the project.
  • Coordinate mechanical construction activities with contractors, subcontractors, engineering teams, and other project disciplines.
  • Monitor field activities to ensure work is completed safely and in accordance with project drawings, specifications, quality standards, and schedule requirements.
  • Support planning, sequencing, and coordination of mechanical work during ground-up construction.
  • Review construction progress and identify potential schedule impacts, field conflicts, or risks requiring resolution.
  • Participate in field walks, construction meetings, coordination meetings, and project progress reviews.
  • Work closely with project stakeholders to resolve field issues and maintain alignment across mechanical and related MEP scopes.
  • Monitor contractor performance and support successful execution of project milestones.
  • Provide clear communication and reporting regarding construction progress, risks, constraints, and upcoming activities
Requirements
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of progressive mechanical construction experience, including experience in a construction management, superintendent, project management, or similar field leadership capacity.
  • Experience supporting large-scale ground-up construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical construction, including HVAC, piping, mechanical utilities, equipment installation, and related systems.
  • Previous experience in a Mechanical Construction Manager, Mechanical Superintendent, Project Manager, or similar field leadership role.
  • Experience within semiconductor, data center, advanced manufacturing, mission-critical, or large-scale industrial construction is highly preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, contractor coordination, safety, quality, and schedule management.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work onsite for the duration of the project. Relocation is not required; traveling professionals are welcome to apply
Work Location/Travel Expectations

Primarily on-site at construction projects, with some office work for reporting and documentation.

Travel may be required depending on project locations
