Job summary

OnQGlobal Inc. is seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to lead on-site execution of ground-up projects in the semiconductor, data center, and mission-critical sectors.

You will oversee field construction activities, coordinate with contractors, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence across HVAC, piping, and utilities. The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications, with travel as needed

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive mechanical construction experience in leadership roles.
• Experience on large-scale ground-up construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping, utilities, and equipment installation.
• Experience in semiconductor, data center, mission-critical, or large-scale industrial construction preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide field oversight and construction management for mechanical scopes throughout the project.
• Coordinate mechanical construction activities with contractors, subcontractors, engineering teams and other disciplines.
• Monitor field activities to ensure safety, quality, and schedule compliance.
• Assist planning, sequencing, and coordination of mechanical work during ground-up construction.
• Review progress and identify potential schedule impacts, field conflicts, or risks.
• Participate in field walks, construction meetings, and progress reviews.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve field issues and maintain alignment across MEP scopes.
• Monitor contractor performance and support milestone execution.
• Provide clear reporting on progress, risks, constraints, and upcoming activities.

Role Overview

This role will oversee mechanical construction activities and work closely with contractors, project teams, and key stakeholders to support the successful execution of upcoming project phases. This is a long-term, onsite opportunity. Traveling candidates are encouraged to apply, and monthly per diem is provided for qualified travelers.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, sequencing, and coordination of mechanical work during ground-up construction.
• Review construction progress and identify potential schedule impacts, field conflicts, or risks requiring resolution.
• Participate in field walks, construction meetings, coordination meetings, and project progress reviews.
• Work closely with project stakeholders to resolve field issues and maintain alignment across mechanical and related MEP scopes.
• Monitor contractor performance and support successful execution of project milestones.
• Provide clear communication and reporting regarding construction progress, risks, constraints, and upcoming activities

Requirements

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive mechanical construction experience, including experience in a construction management, superintendent, project management, or similar field leadership capacity.
• Experience supporting large-scale ground-up construction projects.
• Strong understanding of mechanical construction, including HVAC, piping, mechanical utilities, equipment installation, and related systems.
• Previous experience in a Mechanical Construction Manager, Mechanical Superintendent, Project Manager, or similar field leadership role.
• Experience within semiconductor, data center, advanced manufacturing, mission-critical, or large-scale industrial construction is highly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, contractor coordination, safety, quality, and schedule management.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work onsite for the duration of the project. Relocation is not required; traveling professionals are welcome to apply

Work Location/Travel Expectations

Primarily on-site at construction projects, with some office work for reporting and documentation.

Travel may be required depending on project locations
