Job summary

Dexcom is seeking an engineering manager to lead the Mechanical Engineering Characterization Team. You will drive test strategy, metrology tool development, and performance validation for wearables and needle-based delivery mechanisms.

You will manage a team of materials engineers, ensure linkage of material properties to product performance, and collaborate with research, design verification, and operations for end-to-end concurrent development in a high-volume setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 8–12 years in the industry.
• 2–5 years of management or lead experience in engineering.
• Experience in medical devices or high-volume production environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop test strategy, metrology tools, and performance testing plans.
• Lead data analysis and system integration characterization for mechanical engineering.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, scalable product design.
• Manage materials engineers, linking polymer properties to product performance.
• Foster relationships with upstream/downstream teams for end-to-end engineering.
