Job summary

Louisiana State University is seeking a Capital Project Manager- Mechanical to lead LSU-managed projects from initiation to closeout on the Planning, Design and Construction team. The role requires coordinating with internal departments, consultants, and external vendors to ensure delivery within budget and schedule while upholding university standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 3 year mechanical design experience.
• Mechanical system design experience including HVAC, fire protection, and plumbing.
• Experience with building construction codes and State Fire Marshall requirements.

Responsibilities

• 35% - Independently manages multiple capital projects from initiation through closeout, with primary responsibility for execution and delivery.
• 25% - Manages consultants, engineers, contractors, vendors, and other external service providers.
• 20% - Leads planning, stakeholder, budget, procurement, and FF&E coordination.
• Documentation, compliance, leadership, and technical support assignments: reviews plans for consistency with client requirements and standards.
