Job summary

LSU is seeking a Capital Project Manager- Mechanical to lead medium-to-high complexity projects from initiation through closeout. You will serve as the University’s project management representative, coordinating with internal teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure on-balance delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree with mechanical design experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office, and a track record of coordinating complex mechanical

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 3 years mechanical design experience.
• Mechanical design experience including HVAC, fire protection, and plumbing.
• Experience with building construction codes and State Fire Marshal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple concurrent capital projects from initiation through closeout.
• Coordinate consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure delivery.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and funding coordination.
• Oversee procurement, change orders, and submittals.
• Coordinate occupancy planning, FF&E, and regulatory coordination.
