Micro Precision Ltd. is seeking a Calibration Technician to calibrate a range of test instruments and collect data in both laboratory and customer-site settings.

You will record calibration data, complete certifications, and communicate issues to customers while adhering to safety and quality standards. Travel up to 75% to customer facilities is expected, with training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License.
• Requires US Citizenship.
• Experience in basic instrumentation and manual tools preferred.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and dimensional equipment preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience in MS Word and Excel.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsabilités

• Calibrate a variety of test instruments across skill areas such as Dimensional Equipment, Industrial/Mechanical Equipment, and Temperature Equipment.
• Collect calibration data and record information on data sheets; complete calibration certifications including out-of-tolerance conditions.
• Continue to be trained in all aspects of Micro Precision Calibration Services and share knowledge with team members.
• Observe safety precautions and quality standards in tasks and comply with company policies.
• Clearly communicate calibration issues and procedures with customers and coworkers by phone, in person, and via email.

Description

• Responsible for calibrating a variety of test instruments for one or more skill areas, such as:

1. Dimensional Equipment
2. Industrial / Mechanical Equipment
3. Temperature Equipment

• Perform standards maintenance & checking of company standards if assigned by Lab Manager
• Collect calibration data and record information on data sheets. Complete calibration certifications, including out of tolerance conditions.
• Continue to be trained in all aspects of Micro Precision Calibration Services and share gained knowledge and other best practices with other team members
• Observe safety precautions and quality standards in the performance of tasks and compliy with the company
• Clearly communicate calibration issues and procedures with customers and coworkers on the phone, in person and through email

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License
• Requires US Citizenship
• Basic Knowledge of Mechanical and Dimensional equipment preferred
• Experience in basic instrumentation and manual tools preferred
• Basic mathematics understanding
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience in MS Word and Excel
• Ability to work both independently and under the supervision of Senior Technicians
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance

Training

We accept applicants new to the calibration industry who are eager to learn

Work Environment

• Work performed in the local laboratory and at customer facilities
• Up to 75% out of town, overnight travel
