Job summary

Micro Precision is seeking a Calibration Technician to calibrate a variety of test instruments across dimensional, industrial/mechanical, and temperature equipment. You will collect data, complete certifications, and maintain company standards under the Lab Manager's guidance.

Ideal candidates have basic instrumentation experience, math understanding, and strong communication skills. Expect travel up to 75% to customer sites while working in a local lab and at client facilities.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License
• US Citizenship required
• Basic knowledge of mechanical/dimensional equipment preferred
• Experience with basic instrumentation and manual tools preferred
• Basic mathematics understanding
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience with MS Word and Excel
• Ability to work independently and under supervision of Senior Technicians
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate a variety of test instruments across skill areas (Dimensional, Industrial/Mechanical, Temperature).
• Perform standards maintenance and checking of company standards as assigned by Lab Manager.
• Collect calibration data and record information on data sheets; complete calibration certifications, including out-of-tolerance conditions.
• Share knowledge and best practices with team members; continue training in all calibration aspects.
• Observe safety and quality standards in all tasks and comply with company policies.
• Communicate calibration issues and procedures clearly with customers and coworkers by phone, in person, and via email.
