Job summary

Actalent in York, PA is seeking an Entry Level Mechanical Drafter/Designer & Tooling Coordinator to support tooling, gauges, fixtures, and production equipment while creating 2D/3D CAD drawings in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include tool crib management, inventory replenishment, blueprints and GD&T interpretation, and documenting changes. This fully onsite contract-to-hire role runs on a Mon–Thu 10-hour schedule and Fri 8 hours, with pay $45.33–$58.18/hr and benefits.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of drafting/tooling/mfg experience.
• Proficient with 2D/3D CAD software, especially SolidWorks.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of GD&T and its application to tooling drawings.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory and records.
• Effective verbal and written communication with leadership.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage tool crib inventory and tooling supplies.
• Purchase, receive, organize, and store tooling materials.
• Monitor inventory levels and replenish as needed.
• Prepare, stage, and distribute tooling for production runs.
• Communicate shortages and issues to production leadership.
• Maintain records for tooling and equipment for traceability.
• Create and revise 2D/3D CAD drawings for dies and tooling.
• Apply drafting standards and GD&T to drawings.
• Follow safety practices and company policies.
