Job summary

Royal Truck is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Designer to draft and modify machine drawings using SolidWorks. You will verify parts, update BOMs, and assign part numbers for manufacturing changes on the shop floor.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, a solid understanding of BOMs, and the ability to work with engineering tools while supporting the production team in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree preferred in mechanical engineering or drafting.
• Minimum 1 year of design/drafting experience in manufacturing or heavy industry.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Draft changes to engineering drawings using 3D CAD (SolidWorks).
• Update Bill of Materials and assign new part numbers as needed.
• Design and draft detail drawings for machinery and devices.
• Prepare BOMs and coordinate with manufacturing for implementation.
• Assist with engineering software, PDM, and data updates; support team members.
