Job summary

G.W. Becker, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer Assistant to support our engineering team. The role requires 2D/3D CAD design experience, technical documentation skills, and strong project execution.

This is a full-time, on-site position with standard hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday; remote work is unavailable. You will create CAD designs, prepare shop drawings, validate documentation, manage ERP bill of materials, and assist with manufacturing

Qualifications

• Background in fabrication, shop, or machinery producing a product; 2-3 years preferred.
• CAD experience; 2D AutoCAD or 3D SolidWorks preferred.
• CNC programming or software experience expected.
• Experience reading blueprints and technical drawings.
• Technical writing experience is beneficial.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
• Technical degree preferred, or equivalent mechanical engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Create 2D and 3D CAD designs to visualize manufacturing processes.
• Prepare detailed shop drawings for manufacturing and assembly.
• Review and validate documentation for accuracy and standards.
• Input and manage bills of materials in ERP systems.
• Organize and maintain documentation for easy reference.
• Provide manufacturing support for design-related issues.
• Develop user manuals for equipment manufactured.
