Leidos Defense is seeking a Mechanical Cable Designer in Huntsville, AL to design electrical power and signal cables and related hardware for missiles, radars, and satellites. You will use 2D/3D CAD tools and Windchill PLM to bring components to life, working under senior designers with some independence.

The role requires a mechanical or aerospace engineering degree (or equivalent experience), CAD proficiency, knowledge of standards, and US citizenship with clearance eligibility.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 2+ years of relevant experience, or Associate's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience or 6+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Proficient in CAD software and able to learn new tools and techniques.
• Familiar with government and industry standards.
• Ability to work onsite at a Leidos facility and independently with limited supervision.
• Basic understanding of cable design needs, routing considerations, and mechanical design principles.
• Flexible and capable of switching between tasks and toolsets.
• Candidates must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
• US Citizenship is required.
• Position requires eligibility to obtain and maintain secret security clearance.
