Job summary

Lakeside Book Company in Willard, OH is seeking a Mechanical Bind Operator 3 to support the Packaging and Fulfillment team. You will run the Womako Spiral Equipment, perform bind operations, and help keep schedules on track.

The role requires reliability, attention to detail, and effective communication with supervisors and teammates. It is a rotating shift with on‑the‑job training and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude or interest in learning mechanical processes.
• Strong work ethic, safety awareness, and the ability to work well in a team.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
• Reliability and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (reading and speaking).
• Willingness to learn, contribute, and grow.
• Ability to work flexible shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Runs the Womako Spiral Equipment.
• Assist with daily Mechanical Bind operations, including making readies, operating mechanical equipment, and inspecting mechanical book quality.
• Support production schedules to help keep projects on track.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment (PPE provided; safety training as required).
• Perform basic preventive maintenance and housekeeping (tool organization, housekeeping, equipment checks).
• Previous Bindery Operator Experience preferred
