Job summary

Mako Industries in Sugar Land, TX is seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our production team. You will assemble mechanical components and subassemblies per drawings and instructions, using hand and power tools, and verify proper fit and function.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components and subassemblies according to drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Install and secure nuts, bolts, fasteners, and hardware.
• Install and connect tubing and tube fittings.
• Install cable, cable glands, and related components.
• Install and work with electrical conduit and/or cable tray.
• Use hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and other equipment required for assembly.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, diagrams, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
• Inspect assembled components to ensure proper fit, alignment, and functionality.
• Identify and correct assembly issues or defects.
• Ensure all components are securely connected and meet required safety and quality standards.
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to meet production schedules and quality requirements.

The Mechanical Assembler will be responsible for assembling mechanical components and connecting parts into complete assemblies while ensuring all components are properly fitted, secured, and functioning according to specifications.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, excellent hand-eye coordination, and hands-on experience working with mechanical and electrical components. Candidates must be comfortable using hand and power tools and interpreting technical drawings, diagrams, blueprints, and written or verbal instruction.
