Job Title: Mechanical Assembler, Senior

Location: San Diego, CA (100% Onsite)

Duration: Contract

Shift: 6:30 am - 2:30 pm PST

Job Description:

Performs a variety of operations to assemble mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and sheet metal enclosures. Works with assembly prints, wiring diagrams, and schematics to assemble drawers, chassis, enclosures, and racks. Works on complex assignments requiring judgment and initiative. Determines and follows methods and sequence of operations in hand soldering, wire harnessing, and cabling.

May perform repair work as necessary and perform routine tests of circuits, components, and assemblies. Sets up test devices, documents results, and maintains logs of malfunctions.

Requires production experience in mechanical assembly, reading drawings, soldering, wire-wrapping, and cable harnessing. Uses hand tools and testing equipment.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic skills.
• Working from established drawings.
• Ensuring quality standards and safety procedures.

Level of Responsibility: Works under supervision with limited decision-making authority. Communicates effectively and performs tasks with some planning and problem-solving.

• Preferred experience with Siemens or ASM machines, Ekra pastes print, AOI.

Physical Requirements:

• Weight limits: 25 lbs for pushing, pulling, lifting.
• No forklift required.
