Job summary

Aerotek in Hatfield, PA is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to read blueprints and assemble large mechanical systems for testing. You will work with sheet metal (aluminum, carbon, stainless) and use hand and power tools in a temperature-controlled shop.

This first shift, 6:00am–2:30pm, is a contract-to-hire, onsite role. Candidates should have 2–5 years of large assembly experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to layout equipment on skids.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of experience in large mechanical assembly.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to layout equipment on skids.
• Proficiency in using a variety of hand tools and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and schematics.
• Lay out parts and install equipment into large assemblies.
• Install and mount testing equipment.
• Work with sheet metal aluminum, carbon, and stainless steel.
• Use tape measures, hand tools, power tools, drills, and tapping equipment.
• Layout large ductwork for refrigeration purposes.
• Disassemble equipment after testing and prepare for shipping.
• Inspect work for proper functionality.
