Job summary

RTX Collins Aerospace in Jamestown, ND seeks a Mechanical Assembler 2 to ensure the assembly and quality of mechanical products. You will work onsite, read blueprints, use hand tools and measuring equipment, and maintain a safe workspace while meeting production goals.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED with 1+ year of experience, plus ability to stand for long periods. Manufacturing benefits and a structured work environment are offered.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED) with 1+ year of relevant experience.
• Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, and specifications.
• Experience operating hand tools, air tools, and measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and BOMs to complete assembly tasks.
• Operate hand tools, air tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment, and light equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain inventory of products at stations to ensure smooth workflow and availability of materials.
• Perform quality checks on assembled products and record defects.
• Rework and repair assembled equipment based on engineering changes.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area following procedures and standards.
• Support customer demands by completing tasks accurately and on time.
• Ability to stand up to 9 hours per day.
