GE Vernova's Gas Power Manufacturing plant in Greenville, SC is hiring a General Assembly‑Intermediate level assembler. You will assemble, install, align, and test subassemblies using work instructions, and perform precision measurements with micrometers and calipers.

You should have a High School diploma or equivalent, 2–5 years of related experience, read blueprints, and be willing to work 2nd shift (2 PM–10:30 PM) with overtime.

• Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, and CMMs.
• Collaborate in a lean manufacturing team focused on safety and productivity.
• Take ownership of compliance, safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Enter part data (e.g., serial numbers) and log time in computer systems.
• Use work instructions, set-up sheets and method documents to set up machines and inspect parts.
• Work overtime and occasional weekends as required.

What You’ll Do

• Assemble, install, align, adjust, and fit subassemblies and parts using appropriate tools and fixtures per work instructions
• Clean parts using acetone, braze assemble components per work instructions
• Perform preset calibration and final testing on sub‑assemblies or complete units
• Clean parts and maintain tooling and equipment per work instructions
• Perform precision measurements using tools such as micrometers, calipers, and CMMs
• Collaborate in a team environment focused on lean manufacturing, safety, and productivity
• Take ownership of compliance, safety, quality, and efficiency
• Utilize computer programs to enter part data (e.g., serial number), log time, look up instructions
• Utilize work instructions, set‑up sheets and method documents to correctly set up machines and inspect machined parts
• Ability to work overtime, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to work occasional weekend shifts, with or without reasonable accommodation

What You’ll Bring

• Education/Experience: High School diploma or equivalent required. 2-5 years of related work experience
• Technical Proficiency: Ability to read blueprints, perform shop math, and use precision measurement equipment
• Flexibility: Willingness to work 2nd shift (2 PM – 10:30 PM, M‑F) and overtime when needed
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and wear PPE (safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, etc.). with or without reasonable accommodation
• Must pass a background check and drug screen
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available)
