Job summary

Lake Air Products in New Hope, MN is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to build customer products by assembling components according to blueprints, schematics and tech docs, and to verify specifications through testing and inspection. You will prepare finished products for shipment, organize parts, measure components, and resolve assembly issues.

This role requires the ability to learn new blueprints and perform repetitive work safely while contributing to on-time delivery and quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of varied manufacturing experience in Mechanical Assembly.
• Bend and lift, loading and unloading workpieces onto pallets, and move between workstations.
• Perform repetitive work more than 9 hours per day.
• Ability to quickly learn new blueprints and perform all necessary measurements.

Responsibilities

• Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Organizes parts and subassemblies for an efficient assembly process.
• Verifies specifications by measuring completed components/products.
• Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; and notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
• Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; and verifying receipt of supplies.
