Job summary

Flex is seeking a Mechanical Assembler in Dallas, TX. You will read blueprints and install electrical and mechanical components inside substation enclosures, using hand and power tools to ensure quality and safety.

The role supports production, maintains tools and materials, and adheres to safety standards. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of assembly experience, basic math skills, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of assembly experience in manufacturing, production, construction, or industrial environment.
• Experience reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, engineering drawings, or written work instructions.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment maintenance, and workplace safety practices.
• Basic math skills and ability to measure to engineering/quality specs.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, engineering drawings, procedures, and work instructions.
• Assemble and install electrical and mechanical components, including panelboards, HVAC units, battery systems, and conduit.
• Route, secure, and support wiring and electrical components per specs and production needs.
• Safely use hand and power tools, including drills, impact drivers, screwdrivers, grinders.
• Conduct quality inspections to verify assemblies meet specifications and quality standards.
• Identify, document, and report defective materials or issues.
• Maintain inventory levels of tools, parts, and supplies at the workstation.
• Keep a clean, organized, and safe work environment following policies and safety procedures.
