Ideal candidates have 1+ year of mechanical assembly experience, can read tape measures, use common shop tools, and maintain dependable attendance on a second‑shift schedule in a fast‑paced shop

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least 1 year of mechanical assembly, manufacturing, construction, equipment installation, or related experience.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and interpret basic blueprints or assembly drawings.
  • Experience using drills, impact drivers, grinders, saws, torque tools, and other common shop tools.
  • Ability to work a second‑shift schedule and maintain dependable attendance.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions while working safely in a fast‑paced production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble modular buildings, equipment enclosures, frames, panels, doors, and related components.
  • Install electrical components, cable tray, supports, brackets, hardware, and basic wiring inside manufactured enclosures.
  • Read and follow blueprints, mechanical drawings, work instructions, BOMs, and assembly diagrams.
  • Measure, mark, drill, cut, fasten, align, and torque components using hand, electric, pneumatic, and mechanical tools.
  • Verify dimensions, fit, alignment, and workmanship throughout the assembly process.
  • Identify shortages, damaged parts, drawing conflicts, and quality concerns and report them promptly.
  • Maintain accurate production records and follow safety, housekeeping, and quality procedures.
  • Work closely with electrical assemblers, welders, QA, and production leadership to meet daily goals.

About Our Client

Our client manufactures prefabricated modular power buildings and equipment enclosures, supporting industries that rely on pre‑built, factory‑tested power infrastructure. Production takes place in a shop/manufacturing environment where mechanical and electrical assembly teams work side by side to build units to drawing and quality specifications.

Job Description

This role supports the production of prefabricated modular power buildings and equipment enclosures, installing mechanical and electrical components, completing basic wiring and hardware assembly, and ensuring each unit is built safely and in accordance with drawings, specifications, and quality requirements. The Mechanical Assembler will work closely with electrical assemblers, welders, quality personnel, and production leadership to meet daily production goals in a fast‑paced shop environment. The ideal candidate is comfortable reading blueprints and assembly drawings, working hands‑on with common shop tools, and maintaining consistent quality and attendance on a second‑shift schedule.

Duties And Responsibilities

Required Experience/Skills

Nice‑to‑Haves
  • Experience assembling modular buildings, electrical enclosures, switchgear, data‑center equipment, or industrial skids
  • Experience installing electrical equipment, cable tray, conduit supports, or control panels
  • Forklift, overhead‑crane, or rigging experience
Education

High school diploma or GED required.

Physical and Work Environment
  • Regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and reaching throughout the shift
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, with assistance for heavier components
  • Ability to work around production equipment while wearing required personal protective equipment
