Job summary

Qualifications

• 1 year in industrial/manufacturing environment preferred.

• Familiarity with hand and power tools and reading drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and follow directions precisely.

• Must pass drug screen and background check; valid driver's license; U.S. citizenship.

Job Summary:

The Mechanical Assembler, working under supervision, will participate in the manufacturing of custom designed factory automation equipment and other fabricated assemblies. Candidate must be able to read technical drawings, understand technical direction, and safely complete assigned tasks both independently and working as a team. Candidate is expected to ask questions to ensure understanding if needed. A variety of tasks will be assigned that support activities to be completed, per the manufacturing schedule. Candidate will be responsible for maintaining an organized and tidy workspace, including spaces where parts and equipment are stocked and stored. Candidate may also support other activities in the company's manufacturing operations. Occasionally travel to customer locations will be required and may include overnight and multi-day trips.

Qualifications:

• 1 year in an industrial / manufacturing environment preferred
• High School diploma or GED
• General knowledge of and ability to use common hand and power tools such as hammers, drills, and wrenches.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and the written instructions of designers and engineers
• Ability to work in a team-based manufacturing environment
• Capability to follow instructions precisely and take direction
• Intense focus on always ensuring a safe working environment - Reports unsafe conditions
• Willingness to work overtime, possibly on weekends and holidays
• Some occasional overnight travel will be required
• A strong sense of urgency and self-discipline
• Must be able to listen to, speak, read, write and understand English proficiently
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
