Job summary

Amtec Solutions Group (ASG) in Huntsville, AL is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician I to assemble, set up, maintain, and repair custom automated robotic manufacturing equipment and related assemblies. The role requires reading technical drawings, interpreting schematics, and applying basic math to mechanical tasks.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma.
• Associate's degree in Industrial System Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Advanced Manufacturing, or related field OR 1+ years on‑the‑job training / work experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or fabrication environment.
• Able to Assemble, disassemble, install, maintain and troubleshoot electro‑mechanical equipment and robot cells in custom automated robotic manufacturing solutions
• Read and interpret basic technical drawings such as schematics and blueprints
• Apply basic math to mechanical assembly applications
• Assist with assembly of control panels and electrical systems, as needed
• General working knowledge of computers and file management
• Willing to work a flexible schedule and overtime, if necessary
• Occasional overnight travel may be required
• Pass a drug screen and background check
• Valid driver’s license
• Listen, speak, read, write and understand English
• U.S. Citizen

Responsibilities

• Assemble, disassemble, install, maintain and troubleshoot electro‑mechanical equipment and robot cells.
• Read and interpret technical drawings such as schematics and blueprints.
• Apply basic math to mechanical assembly applications.
• Assist with assembly of control panels and electrical systems as needed.
• Maintain a tidy workspace and assist with other manufacturing operations.
• Occasional travel to customer locations, including overnight and multi‑day trips.
