Job description

$1,500 sign-on bonus!

Coperion is currently seeking a Mechanical Assembler (Custom Machine Assembly) to support our location in Whitewater, WI. This is not a standard production assembly line position. You will be building different equipment each day. There is a lot of room for growth into other disciplines if desired! We have a 5S environment, very clean production floor and great people to work with!
Schedule: 1st shift Monday-Thursday 6am-3pm & Friday 6am - Noon

Responsibilities:
  • Develop a working knowledge of Coperion products, parts and part numbers, a thorough understanding of safety requirements, and build a wide variety of quality mechanical assemblies using blueprints, schematics and work orders.
  • Interface with engineers and other manufacturing disciplines within the factory to overcome challenges and meet customer's needs.
  • Review and follow technical drawings.
  • Operate machines, tooling equipment, fork truck, and overhead cranes for production and assembly.
  • Support our lean manufacturing process with 5S.
  • Adhere to ISO 9001 company standards, work instructions and procedures.
Required Education/Experience/Skills:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ year of recent mechanical aptitude experience.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and a strong understanding of blueprint reading are required.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Basic computer knowledge preferred.
  • Dependability a must.
