Job summary

Atlas Copco Group US is seeking an on-site assembler in Rock Hill, SC. You will perform mechanical and electrical assembly of compressors, generators, pumps, or medical equipment, following rigorous safety, quality, and takt-time standards.

The role requires 0-1 year of hands-on assembly experience, an associate degree or technical certification, and basic computer skills. Training emphasized on 5S and adherence to PPE guidelines.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in a relevant field.
• 0-1 year of experience in assembly or related field.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical assembly.
• Familiarity with pneumatic and DC tooling is a plus.
• Ability to follow work instructions and use the correct tools.

Responsibilities

• Assemble products by following documented processes for safety, quality, and takt time.
• Maintain clean and organized work area; support 5S initiatives.
• Follow safety rules, wear PPE, and report risks or incidents promptly.
• Use appropriate tools and seek help from leads when needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and on-time delivery.

As an assembler, your mission is to perform assembly of products by following the process to ensureSafety, Quality, and Takt time.

Safety

• Follow all applicable safety rules and regulations of the organization.
• Report risk observations, near misses, and incidents on time.
• Use all necessary PPE required for the assigned job.
• Contribute suggestions for improving overall safety.

Quality

• Perform all tasks with a "First Time Right" mindset.
• Use work instructions to perform mechanical and/or electrical assemblies for products like compressors, generators, pumps, or medical equipment.
• Follow all quality checkpoints before sending the machine to the next stage.
• Ask for help when needed from the Line Lead or Supervisor.
• Use only the correct tools identified for the job.
• Support 5S initiatives to keep the workplace neat, clean, and safe.
• Maintain discipline on the line (breaks, rules, rework, etc.).

Delivery

• Complete tasks within the specified time.
• Support rework and repair when needed.

Cost

• Ensure First Time Right to eliminate rework or scrap.
• Respect and improve standard assembly time via Kaizen cards.

• Experience with pneumatic/DC tools and alignment/assembly equipment.
• Basic computer operation skills.
