The role focuses on assembling automated material handling and warehouse equipment with emphasis on quality, accuracy, and safety. Key duties include reading blueprints, using hand and power tools, installing components, measuring parts, and inspecting assemblies.

Qualifications

  • 1–3+ years in mechanical or manufacturing assembly.
  • Experience using hand and power tools such as drills, impact drivers, wrenches.
  • Ability to read basic blueprints and drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical components per work instructions and drawings.
  • Use hand and power tools to complete tasks.
  • Install rollers, frames, guards, and other components.
  • Measure and verify parts during assembly.
  • Read mechanical drawings and assembly instructions.
  • Perform basic adjustments and troubleshooting.
  • Inspect assemblies for fit, alignment and quality.
  • Identify damaged, incorrect, or missing components.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area.
  • Collaborate with production team to meet deadlines.
  • Follow safety and quality standards.

Legacy Staffing has partnered with a growing manufacturing company in Streetsboro, OH to hire Mechanical Assemblers. This is a first shift opportunity with a pay rangeof$18.00-$20.00 per hour based on experience and skill level. This role focuses on assembling automated material handling and warehouse equipment while ensuring quality, accuracy, and safety throughout the production process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble mechanical components and equipment according to work instructions, blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Use hand and power tools to complete mechanical assembly tasks
  • Install and fasten rollers, frames, brackets, guards, hardware, and other mechanical components
  • Measure and verify parts during the assembly process
  • Read and follow mechanical drawings, diagrams, and assembly instructions
  • Perform basic adjustments and troubleshooting during assembly
  • Inspect completed assemblies for proper fit, alignment, and quality
  • Identify damaged, incorrect, or missing components
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Collaborate with production team members to meet project deadlines
  • Follow all company safety and quality standards
Required Qualifications
  • 1-3+ years of mechanical, industrial, equipment, or manufacturing assembly experience
  • Experience using hand and power tools, including drills, impact drivers, wrenches, sockets, and torque wrenches
  • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints, mechanical drawings, and assembly instructions
  • Experience using measuring tools and taking accurate measurements
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Reliable attendance and dependable transportation
  • Preferred Experience:
  • Candidates with backgrounds in mechanical assembly, machine building, conveyor assembly, industrial equipment manufacturing, automotive assembly, fabrication, maintenance, automation equipment, or material-handling equipment are encouraged to apply.
