Employ-Temps is actively seeking Mechanical Assembly II for a full-time role in Cortland, OH. You will assemble and disassemble steel mill chocks, reading blueprints and using precision tools to ensure proper fits and finishes.

The position requires 2–3 years of related experience, crane and forklift certification, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks daily. This role offers a steady Monday–Friday shift with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Crane and forklift certification required.
• Familiar with hand tools, power tools, micrometers, and blueprint reading.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble/assemble steel mill chocks and support Bay 3 machine assembly operations.
• Read blueprints and schematics; use micrometers and precision tools.
• Operate heavy lifting equipment, cranes, and forklifts; assist with material movement.
• Perform cleaning, welding, torching, painting as needed.
• Support workflow in other areas as assigned by management.
• Ensure safety and quality in a physically demanding role.

Mechanical Assembly II

We currently have several full-time opportunities for experienced Mechanical Assemblers for a customer in Cortland, OH that offers world-class technology products to guarantee excellence in metals production. In this position, this physically manual role you will be responsible for the assembling and disassembling steel mill chocks.

Shift

• Monday- Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm

Pay

• $17.00 - $19.00/hr

Key Responsibilities

• Performs tasks in support of Bay 3 Machine Assembly operations such as disassembly/assembly ofvarious typesof machinery and mechanical assemblies, staging, cleaning, inspection, welding, torching, painting, material movement, etc. Secondly may be assigned tasks to support workflow in other areas of the organization.
• Assemblescomponentparts, sub-assemblies or completed units.Includes heavy parts, electro-mechanical, mechanical, structural products, instrument, air/hydraulicpipingand plastic parts assembly.Must be knowledgeable in machine assembly techniques to ensure proper fits, clearances, finishes, travels, limits, lubrications, preservations, etc. Somebackground in hydraulic systems and operations preferred,mandrels experience a plus.
• Uses hand tools, small power tools, precision measuringtoolsand other special equipment.
• Proficientatreading and interpretingblueprintsand schematics. Proficientatthe use of micrometers and other precision measuring tools
• Use of heavy lifting equipment,cranesand forklifts.Lift riggingrequired.
• Other work may be assignedatManagement’s direction.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two – Three years related experience, Physically demanding
• Crane/Forklift.certified, Hand Tools,Power Tools, Cranes,Micrometersand other Precision Measuring Tools. Mechanically Inclined and Blueprint reading a PLUS
