Job summary

Insight Global is recruiting a Mechanical Assembly Technician for our Santa Clara, CA office. The role focuses on hands-on assembly using hand and power tools, following engineering drawings and written instructions to build and service devices.

You will participate in calibration, inventory management, and documentation of issues discovered during assembly or disassembly, with opportunities to work on 3D printing equipment and production devices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related hands-on experience.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Ability to follow assembly drawings and written instructions.
• Experience assembling and/or disassembling mechanical equipment, products, or systems.
• Ability to communicate issues found during the assembly process.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and disassemble evaluation and production devices
• Use hand and power tools to perform mechanical assembly work
• Follow assembly drawings and instructions provided by engineering teams
• Identify and communicate any issues found during assembly or disassembly
• Process and operate 3D printing equipment
• Manage parts inventory for current and future products
• Perform routine calibration of mechanical tools according to specifications
• Maintain calibration logs for mechanical tools
• Update the Helpdesk when materials are running low to allow adequate time for replenishment
• Maintain logs and records related to equipment malfunctions when needed
