Job summary

Siemens SI - North America is seeking a Mechanical Assembler for the eMobility team in Knightdale, NC. You will build, assemble, and wire DC vehicle charger cabinets and sub-assemblies.

Requirements include 1 year of mechanical assembly experience, familiarity with hand and power tools, torque wrench usage, and BOM/layout reading. HS Diploma/GED preferred; SAP experience encouraged. Shift is 6:00am–2:30pm with a hourly rate of $19.76.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience performing mechanical assembly or in a mechanical field.
• 1 year of experience using hand and power tools, pneumatic or battery operated.
• Knowledge of torque wrench and applied torque values.
• Experience with reading a tape measure and other measuring devices.
• Able to identify mechanical parts and electrical components.
• Capable of safely performing physical labor in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and wire DC charger cabinets, dispensers, sub-assemblies, parts kits, and aftermarket parts orders.
• Perform sub-assembly work including mechanical assembly of steel and components, control wiring, power cable work, and interconnection of control wires.
• Record appropriate job record transactions.
• Read BOM, follow layouts and assembly drawings.
• Set and correctly use torque wrenches.
• Adhere to developed processes and seek ways to improve.

Job description

We are looking for Mechanical Assemblers to join our eMobility team. This position will be based in Knightdale, NC.

As a Mechanical Assembler you will be responsible for the building, assembling, and wiring of all assemblies and sub-assemblies related to DC vehicle chargers.

Shift Hours: 6:00am – 2:30pm

Hourly Rate: $19.76

Basic Qualifications:

• 1 year of experience performing mechanical assembly or experience in the mechanical field

• 1 year of experience working with standard hand and power tools, both pneumatic and battery operated

• Knowledge of torque wrench and applied torque values

• Experience with using a tape measure and other measuring devices

• Able to Identify mechanical parts and electrical components

• Capable of safely performing physical labor in a manufacturing environment while meeting all job requirements.
