The role emphasizes ergonomic, accurate assembly, adherence to BOMs, and safety practices, with a Monday-Thursday schedule in a climate-controlled facility. Contract-to-hire with onsite work.

Qualifications

  • Read electrical schematics, CAD models, blueprints, BOMs.
  • Hands-on assembly in manufacturing.

  • Soldering, crimping, wiring harnesses.

Job Title: Assembler
Job Description

The Assembler reads technical drawings and electrical schematics to build power distribution units, static transfer switches, energy storage systems, and other integrated products. This role focuses on assembling complete products and subassemblies to specification using mechanical and electrical components in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble complete products and subassemblies to specification by reading and following electrical schematics, CAD models, part drawings, and bills of material.
  • Interpret standard documentation and techniques and adapt them to custom applications based on existing products.
  • Create point-to-point control and power wiring based on schematics, including crimping, soldering, and building wiring harnesses.
  • Electrically assemble new variants of existing products, including minor mechanical assembly tasks.
  • Apply best practices for electro-static discharge handling when required to protect sensitive components.
  • Inspect parts and assemblies for flaws, imperfections, and defects to ensure quality standards.
  • Identify and report any missing parts or components from assemblies to maintain build accuracy.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and measurement tools such as tape measures to complete assembly tasks safely and accurately.
  • Support production activities by following established processes and contributing to continuous improvement of assembly methods.
Essential Skills
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, CAD models, blueprints, part drawings, and bills of material.
  • Hands-on assembly experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and portable power tools such as drills and impact drivers.
  • Experience using tape measures and basic mechanical measurement tools.
  • Practical skills in soldering, crimping, and building wiring harnesses.
  • Capability to perform both electrical and minor mechanical assembly tasks.
  • Attention to detail for inspecting parts and identifying flaws, imperfections, or missing components.
  • Ability to follow standard documentation and apply it accurately to custom applications.
  • Understanding of safe work practices when working with electrical and mechanical components.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Mechanical or electro-mechanical diploma from a community college or equivalent is an asset.
  • Knowledge of electro-static discharge handling best practices is an advantage.
  • Experience assembling power distribution units, static transfer switches, energy storage systems, or similar integrated products is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with production or manufacturing environments and processes.
  • Comfort working with both mechanical and electrical components in integrated assemblies.

Work Environment

This position is based in a well-lit, climate-controlled manufacturing facility designed for comfort and consistency throughout the workday. You will work with electrical and mechanical assemblies using common hand tools, portable power tools such as drills and impact drivers, and measurement tools like tape measures. The schedule runs Monday through Thursday from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, providing a four-day workweek structure. The environment emphasizes safety, quality, and adherence to established production processes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lawrenceville, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
