Job summary

EMT International in Hobart, WI is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Assembler to join our team. You’ll assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products while collaborating with production, engineering, and quality teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires reading blueprints and work instructions, using hand and power tools, performing fitting and alignment, and helping maintain 5S and quality standards. Prior ERP/MRP experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

EMT International is looking for a hands‑on Mechanical Assembler to join our team. In this role, you’ll assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products while working closely with production, engineering, and quality teams in a collaborative manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do

• Assemble mechanical components and subassemblies using hand and power tools
• Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and work instructions
• Perform fitting, alignment, and adjustment of components
• Inspect parts and completed assemblies to ensure quality standards are met
• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation
• Support 5S and continuous improvement initiatives
• Assist with packaging, crating, and other production‑related tasks as needed
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean work area

What We’re Looking For

• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Experience in manufacturing or contract manufacturing preferred
• Ability to use hand tools, drills, torque tools, and measuring equipment
• Ability to read assembly drawings and work instructions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• ERP/MRP experience (Epicor, SAP, Oracle, etc.) is a plus
