Job summary

BALEMASTER is seeking a skilled assembler to build recycling machinery in Crown Point, Indiana. You will read blueprints and drawings to assemble and disassemble mechanical components, safely using hand and power tools, and operating a forklift and overhead crane.

The role requires basic math, adherence to procedures, and documentation of steps. This full-time position offers comprehensive benefits and a standard Monday–Friday schedule in a heavy industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints, drawings, measurements and engineering parts lists to determine proper machine assembly.
• Ability to assemble and disassemble various components.
• Safely utilize hand and power tools to aid in mechanical assembly.
• Operate a forklift and overhead crane.
• Ability to perform basic math skills.
• Ensure that all procedures are followed and documented as required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble fabricated and purchased mechanical parts to build recycling machinery.
• Disassemble and reassemble components as needed for maintenance or repair.
• Follow safety policies and maintain clean, organized work area.
• Document assembly steps and report any anomalies to supervision.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Ability to assemble and disassemble various components
• Read blueprints, drawing, measurements and engineering parts lists to determine proper machine assembly
• Safely utilize hand and power tools to aid in mechanical assembly
• Use a file, grinder, sander or other tool to produce proper fit between parts
• Operate a forklift and overhead crane
• Ability to perform basic math skills
• Ensure that all procedures are followed and documented as required

Physical Requirements

Heavy industrial environment with mechanical activities requiring personal protective equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

• Stand for extended periods of time
• Sit, stoop, bend
