Qualifications

• Electro-mechanical assembly experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment to meet product standards for identification, shell painting, retainer loading, and other assembly steps.
• Weigh, mix, identify inks/paints/adhesives and prepare molding compounds.
• Follow drawings and procedures to perform connector assemblies from written/verbal instructions.
• Load retainers, bond inserts, terminate wires, and operate heat treat/annealing ovens.

Job description

Are you ready to build precision assemblies, follow detailed work instructions, and take pride in producing quality connectors and cable components? If you enjoy hands-on mechanical manufacturing work, working safely, and learning through repeatable processes, this Mechanical Assembler role in Camarillo could be a great fit. You'll set up equipment, prepare materials, assemble and bond components, apply identification and markings, and support production needs with limited to no supervision.

Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Location: Camarillo, CA

Pay Range: $18.50/hr

What's the Job?

• Set up equipment to meet product standards for identification, shell painting, retainer loading, contact painting, wire cutting, riveting, contact crimping, and contact hooding.
• Weigh, mix, and identify inks, paints, adhesives, molding compounds, and potting materials.
• Follow intermediate drawings and procedures, and perform connector assemblies using written and verbal instructions.
• Manually load and/or machine load retainers into molded plastic inserts, then bond front inserts to rear inserts per work order instructions.
• Prepare single and shielded wires for termination, crimp contacts to prepared wires, terminate simple cables to connectors, and load/operate heat treat and annealing ovens.

What's Needed?

• 1-2 years of experience in related mechanical manufacturing assembly operations.
• Ability to read, follow, and understand verbal instruction, product/process specifications, drawings, and work orders in English.
• Ability to use calculators.
• Ability to lift 30 lbs. and handle components and assemblies using bending, reaching, and twisting body movements, including use of hand tools.
• Electro-mechanical assembly experience a plus
