Job summary

RQ Construction is seeking a Mechanical & Piping Insulator for anticipated openings at Kings Bay Naval Base in Georgia. You will install insulation on piping, ductwork, HVAC systems, and equipment, while ensuring safety and quality on active sites.

We offer Davis-Bacon prevailing wage, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, and paid vacation/sick time. Candidates should have 4+ years of relevant experience and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 4 years of commercial mechanical or piping insulation experience.
• Completion of an apprenticeship or trade school preferred.
• Experience on government, military, or large commercial construction projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install insulation on mechanical piping, process piping, ductwork, HVAC systems, and equipment.
• Measure, cut, fit, shape, and secure insulation materials.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, specifications, and project requirements.
• Perform insulation work in accordance with building codes, safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and productive work area on active construction sites.
• Inspect completed work to ensure proper installation and compliance with project specifications.
• Work with other trades to meet schedule and quality requirements.

Mechanical & Piping Insulator – Kings Bay Naval Base, GA

$30.00–$45.00 per hour | Davis-Bacon Prevailing Wage | Anticipated Openings

RQ Construction is building its talent pipeline for anticipated Mechanical & Piping Insulator openings at Kings Bay Naval Base in Georgia and surrounding areas.

As a Mechanical & Piping Insulator, you will be responsible for installing and finishing insulation systems on active construction projects. Typical duties include:

• Install insulation on mechanical piping, process piping, ductwork, HVAC systems, and mechanical equipment.
• Measure, cut, fit, shape, and secure various insulation materials.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, specifications, and project requirements.
• Perform insulation work in accordance with applicable building codes, safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and productive work area on active construction sites.
• Inspect completed work to ensure proper installation and compliance with project specifications.
• Work effectively with other construction trades and project personnel to meet schedule and quality requirements.

Mechanical Insulator Pay & Benefits
