Job summary

RQ Construction, LLC is seeking a Mechanical & Piping Insulator for Kings Bay Naval Base, GA. The role involves installing and finishing insulation on piping and HVAC systems on active construction projects.

Candidates should have at least four years of commercial insulation experience, a high school diploma or GED, and preferably an apprenticeship. Davis-Bacon prevailing wage applies; benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least 4 years of commercial mechanical or piping insulation experience.
• Completion of an apprenticeship or trade school preferred.
• Experience on government or large commercial projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install insulation on mechanical piping, process piping, ductwork, HVAC systems, and equipment.
• Measure, cut, fit, shape, and secure insulation materials.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, specifications, and project requirements.
• Perform insulation work in accordance with building codes, safety requirements and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and productive work area on active construction sites.
• Inspect completed work to ensure proper installation and compliance with project specifications.
• Work effectively with other trades and project personnel to meet schedule and quality requirements.
