Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must pass Mechanical Skills Certification Test and Welding Exam.
• Strong mechanical skills and aptitude are expected.
• One year of related manufacturing experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and equipment.
• Completes preventive maintenance on engines, motors, conveyors and production machines; follows manuals.
• Troubleshoots malfunctions and locates problems by observing devices and using testing tools.
• Removes defective parts and inspects replacements with measuring tools.
• Adjusts components using hand tools, levels, and straightedges to meet specs.
• Monitors downtime and informs production workers of maintenance techniques.
• Fabricates repair parts using machine shop equipment.
• Documents actions and communicates irregularities to maintain team continuity.
• Keeps safety and cleanliness by adhering to procedures and regulations.
• Continues professional knowledge by attending workshops and reviewing materials.
